T O P I C R E V I E WNYCdodgerSo yesterday with the help of fantastic astrologers I have found out that I have a YOD pattern with my vertex and Venus at the base quincunxing my Rising sign in Aquarius. I know my exact time of birth so I know everything is accurate. One of you amazing astrologers enlightened me more when it came to North Nodes and Juno. I did some research yesterday and found out that my Riding sign in Aquarius makes an exact conjunction with my NN. Which also means that it ALSO makes a YOD aspect with my Venus and Vertex. I'm still not sure if it's officially a YOD but I think it is (correct me if I'm wrong)But my question now is. How would my rising exactly conjuncting my NN mean anything in my life? Can you guys teach and enlighten me? If my hunch is right, it means a whole lotarcturiannI would say that it means that developing your personality, personal identity and physical appearance is part of your karmic destiny in life. You are meant to become one of those identities that people immediately recognize, an original person, completely unique and undoubtedly their own. Especially in aquarius NYCdodger quote:Originally posted by arcturiann:I would say that it means that developing your personality, personal identity and physical appearance is part of your karmic destiny in life. Especially in aquarius When I was a young I never really fit in with the kids. I always wanted to stand out in some kind of way and do something special for myself and others. I went through a lot of "phases" identity wise. And each phase helped me develop my talents, as well as my perception and understanding of life and others. My dad always told me the greatest thing a man can ever do in life is serve others. And now, I have an understanding of what that truly means. I no longer feel like I have to be "categorized" by others. My life and my passion will make a mark on its own and hopefully build others up as well.Your description described my whole life to a T. Thank you!arcturiannYour welcome! I have my NN in the 1st house in aquarius as well (though not conjunct asc), I feel like ive spent too much time in my early life trying to make sure I didn't hurt any feelings or cause any disrupts, but with too much concern for others you end up losing yourself. I've been learning to just be me, and not worry about what others think of who I am and whether I fit their criteria anymore, as well as learning to be okay with being a loner or having to go it alone, and doing so with confidence and panache. Sounds like you have learned the same! I definitely empathize with you on those 1st house lessons and being an outcast (I have uranus making an exact conjunction to my ascendant @_@) I want to share this quote from an article on uranus with you, being your chart ruler and all, having the uranian urge to serve mankind and bring consciousness to the next level despite whether or not you will be recognized for it, it definitely hit home for me!"Wherever Uranus is in the chart, whatever it touches, is often scarred by a shocking removal. It will leave us with the tendency to feel an outcast, abandoned by the gods, beyond the norm. This is the beginning of the Uranian rebelliousness, and the search for the Utopia where we will feel a part of things once more." http://sasstrology.com/2011/12/uranian-lightning-uranus-in-synastry.html NYCdodger quote:Originally posted by arcturiann:Your welcome! You just described EVERYTHING I used to go through!!BellaFeniceOne of you amazing astrologers enlightened me more when it came to North Nodes and Juno.LOLOLOLOL. I laughed out loud. I am far from an amazing astrologer, but my Venus in 1st is very flattered. I have NN sextile my ASC so it is described like this: You have the ability to use current social trends and opinions and utilize this in PR, sales, partners and legal matters. You know what is popular and acceptable. You should also see what other planets NN makes contact with, because it will tell you a lot of cool info. When I was a young I never really fit in with the kids. I always wanted to stand out in some kind of way and do something special for myself and others. I went through a lot of "phases" identity wise. And each phase helped me develop my talents, as well as my perception and understanding of life and othersAre you the one you mentioned you have Uranus conj ASC? That would also contribute to feeling different and wanting to stand out. I have it and yeah I tend to stand out even when I don't want to. My life and my passion will make a mark on its own and hopefully build others up as wellThat ^ is all kinds of awesome! I wish more people had your attitude! [/B]No. My NN conjuncts my Rising to a degree. Which has me to believe that it also forms a YOD. My Uranus is in the 11th house. Which emphasizes it even more being that it is home there. And yes, you are amazing lolKarmicMoonI have a book by Celeste Teal called the Lunar Nodes, she said that when the nodes are on the ASC the life seems fated and predestined, "Events and circumstances are sometimes ascribable to divine intervention. The life seems controlled by these higher forces to the point where the individual is mostly caught up and moved along by these powerful cosmic currents. The soul undergoes many learning experiences and is just waiting for the time to be reunited with the all that is, or oneness."NYCdodger quote:Originally posted by KarmicMoon:I have a book by Celeste Teal called the Lunar Nodes, she said that when the nodes are on the ASC the life seems fated and predestined, "Events and circumstances are sometimes ascribable to divine intervention. My vertex and Venus is at the base.I guess this must also mean I've had an interesting past life?KarmicMoonThe Vertex is a fated point, so maybe you meet a partner that moves you along your path or creates a chain of events that is somehow fated. Could be more than one person or transit that activates it.
